SGB is expanding its in-person training program: Starting in February 2027, SGB will offer a specialized training course on leak detection technology for emergency power systems (EPS) and critical infrastructure.
Emergency power systems ensure that essential facilities continue to receive a reliable power supply in the event of a power outage. These include, for example, data centers, hospitals, and offshore facilities. Reliable leak detection for the tanks and pipes used in these systems is an important part of safe and dependable operation.
Leak Detection for Critical Infrastructure
The new one-day training course provides practical knowledge about the fundamentals and application of leak detection technology in emergency power systems.
Topics covered include:
- Regulatory and technical fundamentals of leak detection
- Requirements for monitored tanks and piping
- Application, function, and alarm pressure of vacuum leak detectors
- Application and operating principle of the LS 50 leak detection probe
- Installation, commissioning, and functional testing of vacuum leak detectors and leak detection probes
- Practical demonstrations using SGB leak prevention systems
- Typical system faults and their causes
- Practical tools such as documentation and test reports
- Exchange of experience and real-world examples
The course goes beyond theory: Participants work directly with fully functional equipment, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and put the knowledge they have learned into practice.
First Training Session in February 2027
The new in-person training course will take place for the first time on February 11, 2027, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at SGB's headquarters in Siegen, Germany.
The course is aimed in particular at professionals involved in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or testing of leak detection systems for emergency power systems and critical infrastructure.
Date: February 11, 2027, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Location: SGB GmbH, Hofstr. 10, 57076 Siegen, Germany
